Babe Come Down is Jep and Dep's latest single.
The Babe Come Down sound harks back to the way songs were recorded in the 60's -live and in one take - no auto tune- no vocal trickery- just a song, two singers and a vintage acoustic guitar. Slowly and meticulously, the lush orchestration is built around the track...the strings, the double bass…the sound of lovers and fighters.
Taking atmospheric cues from Neil Young, Phil Spector and vocal styles of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra ...Babe Come Down builds from an Alt-Country vintage 60's AM Radio love ballad to an Alt-Folk fiery foot stomper.
The song was mastered by Grammy award winning William Bowden (Goyte, The Church, Tim Finn, Jimmy Little).
Recently Jep and Dep have supported Lindi Ortega, Mia Dyson, Matt Walker, Hats Fitz and Cara and Johnny Marr (the Smiths) and also our music has been added to 150 CMJ College radio stations around the USA.
"Babe Come Down" is the first single from our debut album WORD GOT OUT, to be released later on this year.
